Ceramic shaped by the Irish landscape
Handmade ceramics rooted in the landscape of the west of Ireland. Unhurried, textured, honest.
"I wanted to commission a unique piece of art for this tour, something that would encapsulate the essence of Raised On Songs And Stories as it was finally time to bring it home to Ireland. I'm thrilled to have discovered Anne. Her love for Ireland, and passion for her art are beyond evident in these Celtic Knot trinket/soap dishes. I love them."
— Imelda May, singer-songwriter
About Me
For over twenty years I've been watching the west of Ireland, the bogland, the Burren stone, the Atlantic, the way green here is almost impossible in its intensity. My ceramics don't illustrate this landscape. They come from it.
Every texture is carved by hand. Every glaze is chosen for what Irish light does to colour vivid greens against dark rock, silver breaking through a stormy sky. These designs are entirely my own. What you see came from what I observed, what I felt, standing in this landscape long enough to make it mine.
Collections
Each collection begins with the same thing. A landscape I've spent over twenty years learning to read. The Burren's limestone silence. The Connemara bogland. The Atlantic light that makes colour here unlike anywhere else I've known.
These are not themed ranges. They are different ways of looking at the same place, carved by hand, glazed slowly, made one at a time.

Something Made for Someone
Sometimes the right piece doesn't exist yet. A gift for a particular person. A milestone that deserves something more than a shop shelf. A story worth holding in clay.
I'm open to commissions and I love the conversations that start them.
A monthly letter from a ceramics studio on the west coast of Ireland. Behind-the-scenes making, the landscapes that inspire it, and first access to new work and special offers. No noise — just something worth reading.
